Backstory

The Toda tribe is an ancient pastoral community indigenous to the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu. Known for their barrel-shaped homes, rich oral traditions, and ornate embroidery, they live in harmony with nature. Women hold a central place in their culture — as nurturers, weavers, and storytellers — passing down rituals and songs that are centuries old.
