Backstory

In the heart of Kerala’s Vembanad Lake, where the setting sun paints the waters in shades of pink and gold, bloomed Malarikkal — a radiant pink water lily. Her petals glowed at twilight, drawing creatures from across the lake to bask in her quiet magic.When pollution threatened her home, Malarikkal stood strong — absorbing impurities and breathing new life into the waters. Around her, life flourished once again: birds sang from the trees, frogs leapt joyfully across lily pads, turtles glided below, and tiny crabs scurried along the banks.

Today, Lake of Lilies captures this spirit of resilience, wonder, and unity — a timeless tribute to the beauty that blooms when hope endures.
